We have JV Region at Riverton on Wednesday at 2:00pm, so the buses will leave at 12:50pm, and athletes who are competing will be checked out about 45 minutes before that time. Only JV athletes who have not solidified a spot at Region next week, and have actually been attending practice regularly will compete and be excused.
We are going to the BYU Invite on Friday and Saturday, start time is 7:00am both days. Those who are accepted into BYU, if we have enough athletes to take a bus, it will leave at 5:30am both days. Entry to the meet for spectators will be at byutickets.edu. The schedule and overview info is on sporttrax, please be familiar with it if you are accepted for this meet.
We had a a good week last week as team. Thanks to all those athletes and parents who helped at our dual meet with Corner Canyon Wednesday!
The Wildcat Invite was a good meet for us, other than the windy conditions for the runners, it was good and we did and we did well. Our boys team won and our girls team was 2nd!

From Coach Barnes: So for this upcoming school year I will be teaching Sports Medicine periods 1,2, and maybe 3 for 11th and 12th graders. And Intro the Health Science periods 5, 6, and maybe 7 for grades 10-12. Both are full year classes, with Sports Medicine being a CTE credit class and Intro to Health Science (basic anatomy) fulfilling the .5 Health credit for graduation and .5 CTE credit. I always highly recommend taking Health Science over Consumer Health, especially for those who might be semi-interested in any kind of medicine or health care type careers. I would love for my athletes to come take my classes, and fill them up with some students that I already know. Plus, I would love for all of my athletes to be familiar with the concepts and curriculum taught in each class. Keep this in mind as arena scheduling comes up in the next week.
I would also like to see all athletes in a weights class if schedules permit.
