We had a another good weather meet last Wednesday at Riverton with Riverton and Copper Hills. Had several good marks and even some PRs. Be aware that the next couple weeks of practice will be more intense as we start peaking in our training in preparation for later meets. Please take care of your bodies and come prepared to work harder. We have a good start to the season, but we also have a lot of work to do in order to get where we want and need to get.
Congrats to Carly Trujillo for breaking the school record in Shot Put with a throw of 37'2.5"!
We will be at Bingham vs Bingham on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.. We will be on a Full Schedule.
Everyone will be checked out from school early and the buses are currently scheduled to leave at 1:35pm from the north parking lot by the gym. Athletes are expected to compete in multiple events that day and help run the meet. Athletes should be present the entire meet, either competing, helping, or cheering on their teammates in different events. No one should leave early! It is supposed to be the a decent weather day.
No one is allowed to drive on their own to and from meets! If you want to be driven by parents or leave with parents a JSD Driver/Rider form must be filled out and signed before the meet and given to Coach Barnes, or you will be on the bus both ways.
Make sure you are at practice everyday so you are eligible to compete!
We will take a select group to Farmington Invite on Friday. Buses are set to leave at 12:25 p.m.. There is no school that day. The Invite Schedule is HERE.
