Thanks to all the parents and athletes who helped us put on our first meet with Copper Hills. Other than a few timing and results issues that delayed our start, and that nasty cold wind, things went pretty well.
We are hosting Herriman at our place Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.. All athletes need to be completely eligible, including fees paid, and have received a uniform. Athletes are expected to compete in multiple evets that day and help run the meet. Athletes should be present the entire meet, ether competing, helping, or cheering on their teammates in different events. No one should leave early! It is supposed to be the coldest day of the week, so dress warm.
We would love some parent help again putting on the meet. Please let the coaches know if you are able to help out. Here are some main things we can use help with:
Clerking at the starting line
Running results from the finish to the box
Data Entry in the booth
Helping with field events (Javelin, Shot Put, Discus, Pole Vault,
High Jump and Long Jump).
Even if you aren't super familiar with an event, we can help instruct you in assisting with it.
We also have the Copper Hills Invite this weekend. The entries to this will be limited to top performers in each event. The coaches will determine who will compete and in which events.
