March 13-18, First Meets

The Region meet at Copper Hills has been postponed until April 19th.  This is because of the extremely wet field conditions and safety concerns, mostly for different field events.  We will have practice as usual.  

Everyone should be eligible for the season after 2 weeks of official season and having since at least the parent meeting in January to complete these things, so no excuses.  If you are not eligible by Tuesday, or have otherwise made special arrangements with the coaches, you will be cut.  

We have our first meet scheduled on Wednesday Copper Hills at 3:30 p.m. vs Copper Hills and West Jordan.  All athletes need to be completely eligible, including fees paid, and have received a uniform.  Athletes who have not paid for and picked uniforms need to pay the uniform fee and have a proof of that payment to show Coach Barnes at the time of pick up.  This needs to be done by Tuesday or you will not compete!  Athletes must have and wear this year's uniform in all meets.

Athletes are expected to compete in multiple events that day.  Athletes should be present the entire meet, ether competing or cheering on their teammates in different events.  No one should leave early!

Please be prepared with warmups, warmer clothing that is weather appropriate, and water, snacks, or other items you might need.  

All athletes should always plan on riding the buses, and athletes are never permitted to drive themselves.  Parents should fill out a driver/rider form in the main office in order to drive athletes for a special circumstance and coaches should be aware of this. Buses will leave at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.  Eligible athletes will be excused from school early for meets, high school athletes are typically excused 30 minutes prior to buses leaving and 9th graders 45 minutes prior to the leave time.

Salt Lake Classic Invite on Saturday will be only be for those selected by coaches to attend.  Buses will leave at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday for those competing.  Distance and throwing events will be held at Riverton and all other events at Corner Canyon.  Schedule is posted HERE.
