April 25-30

We are back in full force this week!  We had the Wildcat Invite moved to Monday.  The plan is to get on the bus at around 1:15 and head to Woods Cross.  Those who are going will be checked out early.

Meet Schedule HERE

Meet Program HERE

We have a dual meet with Riverton at their place on Wednesday, and everyone will get checked out early that day, so we can get on the buses about 2:00 pm.

Saturday we have the Tiger Trials Invite at Orem, this will be a meet that we are limited to accepted marks and limited spots.  Your coaches will let you know if you will be competing at this one.

Our Twilight Invite is less than two weeks away (Friday May 6 starting at 2:00 pm) and we will need a lot of help to put this meet on and do a quality job.  If any parents are able and willing, we can use help with running events, giving out awards, start and finish line clerking, concessions, gate, cooking burgers and food, etc..  Please let the coaches know if you are able to help.  All athletes, especially those not competing, will be expected to help run the big meet.

April 11-16 Bingham and Farmington Invite

This week we have the Region dual meet at Bingham on Wednesday and the Farmington Invite on Friday.  The majority of the team will be competing at Bingham, while only a select group will compete at Farmington.  The athletes will be checked out of school early and buses will be here at 1:50 on Wednesday.  HS athletes will be checked out at 1:25pm and 9th graders at 1:15pm The meet starts at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.  Friday buses will be at the HS at 12:45pm. and athletes do not have school that day.  The schedule is HERE

Spring Break- Next week we will have practices everyday for those athletes who are around.  We also have the Wildcat Invite on Friday afternoon of the 22nd.  If you are leaving town talk to your event coaches and find out what workouts you should be doing on your own. Make sure the coaches know what you are doing during this break from school.  DO NOT take the week off!

House Keeping - We have had a lot of athletes missing practices lately for whatever reason.  If you ever miss practice you should be in touch with your coach and make sure you know what you missed and be willing to make it up.  Missing practice to make up school work is a very poor excuse!  Athletes are expected to stay on top of grades and should not let themselves get into a position where they are missing practices, especially when there is time before school and Friday every week for athletes to fix grades.  If you miss practice and do not have a good excuse or communicate with your coach you are in danger of being cut from the team.  Make it a priority to be there and work hard.

Athletes need to make sure they are eating enough food, trying to healthy, drinking plenty of water throughout the day, and stretching and rolling out consistently after practices.

Spirit Pack gear is on it's way supposedly.

Congrats to Taylor Jorgensen for hitting State qualifying mark at Alpha Invite on Thursday in the 800 meter:

The Alpha Invite was a good meet for us and we had a lot of good marks from our young team.  It was also a good exposure to good competition to see where we are at.  Results can be found on the Schedule and Results Page above.

Congrats to the following for setting new event school records:  Chayse Vickers - 3200 meter, Keatyn Perkins -800 meter, Chloe Tycksen 100 meter, and Sophia Murray Long Jump.
