We have our first meet this Wednesday at Mountain Ridge vs Copper Hills at 3:00 p.m.. All athletes need to be completely eligible, which means RMA is complete and fees are paid, if they haven't been already. Athletes are expected to compete in multiple events that day and help run the meet. Athletes should be present the entire meet, either competing, helping, or cheering on their teammates in different events. No one should leave early! It is supposed to be the a decent weather day. We would love some parent help for this event!
Note that is eligibility is not complete by Tuesday before practice that athletes will not compete in the meet. Eligibility should have been completed and ready for tryouts before the first day of practice 2 weeks ago. Athletes are still expected to come help at the meet, even if they are not competing.
Those who need uniforms, will need to come get them from Coach Barnes during practice on Monday and Tuesday. Make sure to have a screen shot of your payment. No uniforms will be given out after Tuesday!
We will get athletes out of school at the same time as if we are going to a Region meet on the bus, so that everyone can help get ready for the meet and warm up. 9th graders will get checked out at 2:00pm.
Please download the SportsTrax App, since the our meets will be run on it, and most of the other meets throughout the season.
All athletes who are missing any eligibility by practice on Monday March 17th will be cut from the team! All eligibility was due (except fees) the first day of practice on February 24, and fees are due no later than this Tuesday before practice this week. After this week we will cut athletes from the roster for missing items. Please take care of these things if you want to be on the team.
We are heading to Pine View in St. George/Washington next week. This is a varsity state qualifying meet that we would like to get most of our best kids too. We will be taking a bus and staying the night. We will need some hard commitments for those going to Pine View March 21-22 by this Wednesday. Paperwork (parent approval and notarized district medical form with copy of insurance card) will need to be given to Coach Barnes by March 19th. See the Overnight Travel page above for more details.
