Region Championships

A huge thanks for all of those athletes and parents who helped to put on our Twilight Invitational!  Most of those who helped went above and beyond, and we put on an excellent meet!  

Our team also competed well with our Girl's team winning overall and our Boy's team taking 3rd.  Congrats to the following Sentinels for 1st place finishes:  Cailey Bracken -1600m, Taylor Jorgensen - 800m, Elayna Loveridge 3200m, Kinzlee Riddle - 200m, Saige Pidcock - Discus, Adam Wightman - Pole Vault, Chase Higham - Shot Put, and both girls and boys 4x200 Relays.

Congrats to the following for hitting State Q marks at the Twilight Invite:  Adam Hawkes - Discus, Kezia Griffith - Long Jump, and our Girl's 4x800 relay team. 

Congrats to the following for setting new school records: Chase Higham - Shot Put, Cooper Ihler - High Jump, Grace Tycksen - Javelin, Girl's 4x800 relay (Taylor Jorgensen, Elayna Loveridge, Brooklyn Tarr, and Cailey Bracken), Girl's 4x200 relay (Natalie Shober, Sarah Varga, Jane Hadley, and Kinzlee Riddle), and Girl's 4x400 relay (Kinzlee Riddle, Natalie Shober, Alexia Jarvis, and Amaya Brouse).

This was a good close out to the season.  Our JV Region went well on Tuesday with lots of good marks and performances, and both Boys and Girls teams were JV Region Champs!

Region Championships are this week at Mountain Ridge.  Both Wednesday and Thursday sessions will start at 3:30 p.m.. Schedule is HERE.  Those on the team not competing are expected to help run the meet and cheer for our team.  All athletes will be checked out early to be able to come help set up.  If athletes do not help with this they will not get any kind of elective PE credit, Athletic Letter, etc., it is REQUIRED!  

We need, and would love, as much parent help putting on the meet as we can get, and could use help in a few main of areas. Please signup HERE. We need help both days. Here are some things we can use help with:

Concessions

BBQing for concessions (cooking Burgers etc.)

Clerking at the starting line and bullpen 

Awards

Region Championships is where most of our young team have a chance to qualify for State next week at BYU.  Top 4 in each event will qualify for State, this includes top 4 relays.  Pre-Qual marks for State are automatic qualifyiers and can be found on the Marks page above.
